China NEV ADAS Chip Market Report (Jan-Jul 2026)

Affected by the slowdown in NEV sales, China’s ADAS chip installation volume for NEVs reached 4.9 million units in Jan–July 2026, down 9.9% YoY from 5.4 million units in the same period of 2025. In terms of configuration structure, the market has further converged toward single-chip solutions: the share of ADAS-equipped vehicles using a single chip rose from 75.6% to 85.1%, while the proportion of models fitted with two or more chips declined from 24.4% to 14.9%.

The supplier landscape saw notable shifts. NVIDIA retained the top spot with 36.8% market share (–0.6 pct YoY), followed by Horizon Robotics at 16.1% (–5.6 pct YoY) and HiSilicon at 11.7% (+2.2 pct YoY). Tesla’s in-house SoC held 11.0% (–0.4 pct YoY). Among emerging players, NIO Shenji reached 3.5% (+3.0 pct YoY), and Xpeng Turing newly entered the top 10 at 3.1%, underscoring a growing trend of automakers developing proprietary chips.

Focusing on third-party suppliers, customer portfolios reveal distinct strategic orientations and ecosystem ties. NVIDIA primarily serves BYD, Xiaomi and Zeekr. Horizon Robotics focuses on Geely Galaxy, Deepal and BYD. HiSilicon’s rising share is underpinned by its deep partnership with AITO, alongside coverage of Deepal and SAIC. Meanwhile, Mobileye and Renesas maintain a balance between domestic and overseas automakers, while both Qualcomm and Axera count Leap as their largest customer.
